It was formed in the year 2005 and conducted the exams of the 5^th in the year 2006 first time. The main purpose of the establishment of this authority is to conduct the examination of the 5^th class in all the nine boards of Punjab. The Punjab examination commission is the responsible for the elementary and middle standard education. The PEC makes the schedule and question papers for the students of the 5^th and 8^th grade. Before the examination the Punjab examination commission registered the students for the examination from the all over Punjab. The PEC sends the registration numbers of the students to the respective board and then boards to the respective city or school. The Punjab examination commission conducts the exams regularly in the all boards of the Punjab every year at the same time table and announced the result as well.
