Punjab Examination Commission (PEC) was established in 2005 and first time it conducted 5th and 8th Class Examination in 2006. PEC conducts all primary level and Elementary level Exams of all Government and private Schools. Each year millions of students appear in 5 and 8 Grade Examinations and passed their examinations by Bise Rawalpindi Board. For the year 2015 the Rawalpindi 5th and 8th class exams were organized by PEC on Feb 06 and now BISE 5th and 8th Class Result 2015 is being finalized. For primary and elementary level there are total 37 districts of Punjab Province and total nine education boards are working under Punjab Examination Commission include Rawalpindi. PEC Commenced 5th and 8th class examination in the month of February and now after one month awaiting students' wait for their exams results is now going to finish. Education in Rawalpindi can be divided into five levels: primary (grades one through five); middle (grades six through eight); high (grades nine and ten, leading to the Secondary School Certificate); intermediate (grades eleven and twelve, leading to a Higher Secondary School Certificate); and university programs leading to graduate and advanced degrees. Rawalpindi Board also follow the rules of Punjab Examination Commission for the result of 8th grade.

Punjabi is the language of people and most people speak Pothohari dialect of Punjabi language in Rawalpindi. Rapidly developing into a large city, Rawalpindi has many good hotels, restaurants, clubs, museums and parks, of which the largest is the Ayub National Park.
