Punjab Examination Commision started functioning in 2005 and in 2006 conducted 8th grade population examination for the first time in the Province. Now PEC is a statutory body working under Punjab Examination Commission. There are total nine education boards are working under Punjab Examination Commission include Islamabad.

The Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences is one of the largest research oriented hospitals in South Asia. A large number of public and private sector educational institutes are present here.
FBISE Islamabad PEC Board 8th Class Result
Federal Board Islamabad has been confined to the districts of Islamabad. Million of students appear every year through this board in 5th and 8th grade exams. Elementary board examination 2015 was commenced from second week of February. Now after one and half months passed FBISE has announced 8th Class Result on 31st March.
